JNGL By Progress: A Unique Kids Center Designed by Cache Atelier

A Multidisciplinary Space for Learning, Playing, and Creativity

The main theme of JNGL By Progress is the jungle, and all different areas are named after different zones in the jungle, such as Crocodile Bay, Monkey Island, and Under the Starry Sky. The overall theme is introduced and developed through the incorporation of friendly graphics and furniture in the space. This design approach creates an immersive environment that sparks children's imagination and encourages exploration.

One of the unique properties of JNGL By Progress is its multidisciplinary nature. It is a space where children can play, learn, draw, perform, and discover the world around them through a variety of activities. The space is flexible, with movable walls and furniture that can be easily rearranged to accommodate different activities and group sizes. Large glazed walls allow natural light to flow through the space, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.

Interactivity is a key aspect of the design. Cache Atelier integrated interactive elements that children can change, build-up, reconstruct, and rearrange. For example, one of the decorations features an animal with interchangeable faces, allowing children to learn about different emotions through play. This interactive approach enhances children's engagement and promotes hands-on learning.

The design of JNGL By Progress was the result of extensive research on the interests and needs of children in different age groups. The goal was to create a space that would appeal to kids from 2 to 12 years old and provide a safe and stimulating environment for their development. The combination of natural materials, vivid colors, and the flow of natural light was carefully considered to create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.

Cache Atelier faced several creative and technical challenges in bringing the JNGL By Progress design to life. The overall theme of the jungle required careful consideration of each area's function and the activities happening inside. Different zones, such as Monkey Island (arts atelier), Crocodile Bay (for small children), and Under the Starry Sky (for the library), were designed with specific decorations and features to match their respective functions.

The JNGL By Progress project started in December 2017 and was finalized in June 2018. It is located in Sofia, Bulgaria, and has a total area of 800 sq.m. The design has received recognition for its excellence and innovation, winning the Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.

With its unique design, interactive elements, and multidisciplinary approach, JNGL By Progress sets a new standard for kids centers. It provides a space where children can learn, play, and explore their creativity in a stimulating and engaging environment.
